XP Passport Personalization Printer
XP is IXLA’s desktop product range for e-Passport personalization, designed for decentralized issuance. Thanks to its proven, outstanding reliability, the XP can also be installed in “clusters” of systems, to create redundant and scalable centralized solutions.
The XP system provides IXLA’s renown quality for laser engraving, plus includes special features like tilted engraving, clear windows, tactile, microtext, and high yield chip encoding.
It is equipped standard with a high-resolution vision system for accurate graphics positioning and quality control. The tray-based transport system avoids scratches on the passport cover and data page, allowing it to automatically handle up to 20 passports, with the ability to add more during processing.
You also get your choice of encoding engines, including VHBR, and dedicated antenna positioning.
The XP is designed to fulfill the new demands for enhanced security ePassport personalization. In addition to standard XP features, it can laser engrave and chip encode in the same pass. The XP comes in 4 models: the XP 24 HP, the XP 24 HD, the XP 25 HP and the XP 25 HD for either High Performance or High Definition engraving.
Passport Input Feeder
The operator simply loads the booklet into a cassette and then stacks up to 20 cassettes in the input tray.
Vision System
An embedded camera identifies the passports with preprinted information such as a number or barcode. XY autopositioning can be easily configured with a dedicated web tool.
Chip Encoder for ePassports
The XP system enables the loading of personal data into the integrated electronic contactless chip. The XP can be equipped with 1 head and can be placed on both sides of the booket. The system verifies whether the data is applied correctly.
Barcode Reader
The XP system can include a barcode reader to read preprinted labels to identify job files.
Laser Modules
The XP performs the laser engraving of the photo and personal data on the front side of the datapage. The data is aligned relative to preprinted marks using a camera. Several laser engraving options are available such as tactile engraving and the application of CLI/MLI features. The quality of the laser engraving is high, allowing for hidden information to be incorporated in the photo.
Vision Quality Control Unit
An embedded camera cross checks all applied visual data and features with OCR and OCV functions.
Passport Output Stacker
Finished and approved passports are stacked in the output tray where the operator can remove them at any time, even during operation.
